Saturday 20 Oct 2018 10h00-16h30ENNEAGRAM  - PART 1/2 -  - Presenter: Mary Leahy FCJ
Attendance at both sessions is very highly recommended, however many important insights can be gained from one session if this is all is possible for you.

What is the Enneagram?

There are many tools available today for guidance on the inner journey, to discover more about our relationship with self, others and God. The Enneagram is one such tool rediscovered in recent years. Its wisdom provides insight for exploring both the gifted and wounded sides of our psychological  and spiritual natures.
The Enneagram places 9 points on a circle which focus on the basic spiritual issues of human life:
  • The way people hurt themselves and alienate others,
  • The path for constructive relationships with other people,
  • The direction towards integrating the infinite variety of our potential.
The Enneagram is all about self-transformation.  We can change and it shows us how.  Appropriate paths for spiritual development indicate the way we can go if we are willing to change and grow.
For many who set out on the inner journey, the Enneagram presents a challenge as we move forward to fullness of life, enriching our relationship to God.

Join us! An opportunity not to be missed

Saturday 10 March 2018, 10h00-16h00 Discernment: Making Choices from a Place of Freedom: Listen to the music of your life - Presenter: Joanna Walsh FCJ
The American poet Mary Oliver writes “Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” (The Summer Day). This question points to a basic fact of life: we have to make many choices.  What guides those choices?  How do we know the “better” way forward? During this session we will explore together the spiritual practice of discernment. The day will include presentations, exercises for reflection, and group sharing. There will also be times of silence and solitude – which are essential to a discerning life. “It is only with the heart that one can see rightly. What is essential is invisible to the eye.”  Antoine de St. Exupéry

MAKING ROOM FOR WHAT REALLY MATTERS

This particular session deals with a common challenge in today’s fast-paced, highly scheduled life: finding time and space for silence, reflection, and prayer. The schedule will include presentations, silent reflection time, group sharing, and a variety of prayer methods. If your life is filled but unfulfilled, consider setting aside this one Saturday to attend to what really matters.
